These are our purposes

1/ To convince our fellow liberal humanists to think again about their support for assisted suicide and euthanasia (ASE).

2/ To examine the issues involved, going beyond the emotive stories told by proponents of ASE.

3/ To convince those who are not already convinced that the unfortunate events now unfolding in Canada are the direct result of ASE’s definition of death as medical treatment.

4/ To highlight the historical context within which these debates occur.

5/ To engage with the best arguments put forward by proponents. We believe in enlightenment through debate.

6/ To direct those interested in the issue to research all sides of the discussion and think more deeply about it.

7/ To put the humanity back into humanism.
